Can you tell us where the inspiration for your idea came from?

The idea was sparked by Moonchild’s witty, razor-sharp, sexy, positive lyrics for her new track ‘Banana’.

What drew you towards Moonchild as a collaborator?

I met Moonchild some years ago at a BLK JKS show and we were always drawn to her weird ways. She is brave, she is talented, and her path is clearly well lit – especially since beginning to work with Tshepang Ramoba.

Jameson’s family motto is ’Sine Metu’ and it means ‘Without Fear’. How would you define “fearless authenticity” as an artist?

Well, I think sticking to your guns and taking the narrow path to where your beliefs lead you, even when you’re afraid, is power.
